WONDER LAB EXHIBITION
Nelly Saunier has been chosen to participate in the prestigious WONDER LAB living treasures of France exhibition at the Tokyo National Museum.

Nelly Saunier has been chosen to participate in the prestigious WONDER LAB living treasures of France exhibition, at the Tokyo National Museum, created and co-organised by HEART & crafts and whose principal patron is the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation.

This exhibition, showcasing the excellence and diversity of artistic crafts in France, presents 15 Masters of Art and laureates of the Liliane Bettencourt Prize for the Intelligence of the Hand. Each of these artists has a real desire to reinvent their art, develop new skills, techniques and tools, bring their craft into the realm of contemporary creation by combining tradition with innovation.

With the WONDER LAB exhibition, French Masters of Art are exhibited for the first time in Japan – in the oldest and biggest art museum of the country, the Tokyo National Museum. In a 1000m2 space designed by architect Lina Ghotmeh with curator Hélène Kelmachter, the exhibition was created like an unparalleled aesthetic journey, inviting visitors to experience art with all their senses.

The exhibition is co-organised by the Tokyo National Museum, NHK Promotions and the Asahi Shimbun. Its principal patron is the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller, with the support of the Institut National des Métiers d’Art, the French Embassy in Japan, the Institut Français du Japon, and the patronage of the French Ministry of Culture.
