I invite you to discover my latest work, Glycine (Wisteria), presented to the public for the first time during the Japon-Japonismes exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where it will be exhibited alongside two other feather sculptures from my Transformed Nature series: Les prémices du printemps (The signs of spring) and Hortensia (Hydrangea).

This exceptional exhibition reveals both the wealth of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs' ancient Japanese art collection and the incredible creativity and diversity of the "Japonist" western creations. Alongside French artists like Emile Gallé, René Lalique and Charlotte Perriand, seven master artisans who participated in the WONDER LAB exhibition organised by HEART & crafts at the Tokyo National Museum in 2017, were invited to present works inspired by Japan: Jean Girel, Michel Heurtault, Sylvain Le Guen, Laurent Nogues, François-Xavier Richard, Pietro Seminelli and myself.

During my stay in Japan, at the Villa Kujoyama artists' residence in Kyoto, I was moved by the Rinpa school of painting, a movement with a refined and intimate style – inspired by nature –, and who was continually reinventing itself between the 17th and 20th centuries. Glycine, my latest sculpture from the Transformed Nature series, is a tribute to nature, to its infinite capacity for rebirth and transformation, to inspire us.
